My name is Vicki Sullivan. I have been in Dubuque my whole life. I would say the main things that keep me here are the roots that I’ve established. My family is here. My friends. The important work that I do here. I think the opportunities that this community provides for personal and professional growth and the amenities are just amazing. We really are a masterpiece on the Mississippi.

I am passionate about education. Education transforms lives. It is truly an investment in an individual or in a group that can make all the difference. that’s been my experience in becoming an educated person over my life that it’s transformed my life and I think that no matter what the challenges are or the background that an individual or a group of people have, education is the key to a better future for them.
