Hi, my name is Taj Suleyman. I learned about Dubuque through friends and eventually, i applied for a job with the city in the Human Rights Department as the equity outreach coordinator. The community is self-sufficient, but they also support each other.
My father is originally from Sudan and I was born and raised in Lebanon from a Saudi mother. I came to the United States in 2000 and lived in several cities. I am a friendly person and like to try new things. I speak three languages and I’m now learning the Dubuquer language. I’m passionate about anything to do with human dignity and human rights and the wellbeing of everyone on this planet.
