Hi, my name is Indigo Channing. I moved to Dubuque in 1992, so I was only about seven years old. My mom was working in town and we moved here from Delhi and I remember being terrified because the city seemed like the size of Chicago to me. The city is a nice blend of rural and urban.

I have a really strong community of friends and support people here. I’ve grown to care about this community so much that I stay in it to be one of the sources of change in the community and a voice for social justice.

I would describe myself as weird, but the pleasant kind of weird. I can be a bit rough around the edges but I believe strongly in authenticity and just being real with people from the start.
